A must have, life changing delivery service.

I'm going to be very transparent here, clean eating and cooking and everything involving making food taste amazing in the kitchen is not my forte. However, I know that switches to cleaner, organic produce is one of the easiest ways to reduce my family’s exposure to toxins on a regular basis.

Which brings me to one of my favorite switches I've ever made. It combines by need for organic food, love of discounts and an ability to take a stressful task off my plate all in one service. My favorite service of all time is the grocery delivery service Imperfect Foods. You may have seen me post about this before but I have to give them another moment in the sun because they are doing incredible things and bringing affordable clean organic food into people's homes, every single day.

Their mission is to eliminate food waste and build a better food system for everyone and WOW do they go after this with full force. They started by taking misshapen, “ugly” food, particularly produce and food that is not able to be sold to a grocery store and they bring it to homes at a discounted price. If you’re starting to question the quality of the produce, let me just say the food tastes amazing.

I absolutely love that it says subscription so it shows up at my door once a week per our subscription but since it’s completely customizable, I know I can skip any week I don’t need it. I can edit the box and I can also open it up and add more things to it depending what I need in the coming week.

But it gets even better! Since the pandemic hit they have actually expanded into far more than just fruits and vegetables and now offer milk, eggs, snack foods, some dry goods, all sorts of different products that are being saved from the landfill.

They have over, 100 organizations that they are supporting through their donation programs. They have saved over 139 million pounds of imperfect food which has a really big impact considering that a huge amount of the waste in landfills is food waste which are really detrimental to the environment.

They also have reduced cost boxes, if you meet certain requirements, as they really are committed to not only lowering waste, but helping others get access to healthy and clean food.
